, very quiet and more tamer than the one in san francisco. wells fargo has special help for people starting tomorrow at the oakland civic -- convention center. paul chambers, ktvu channel 2 news. >> we were the first to bring you the story of a string of robberies at the carquinez bridge toll plaza. now three men are under arrest. ktvu's ken pritchett is live with the slow steady case that came together for investigators. ken? >> reporter: the chp says it happened this way, a car pulls up, it would stop, someone would get out and threaten the toll both worker. that happened 10 times at this toll lawser in the last -- plaza in the last year. at the carquinez bridge toll plaza with armed robbers hit the location repeatedly. >> they were hard to identify. >> reporter: he says three men have now been identified and arrested. robert larry white, christopher lee miller, david joseph morales. the chp believes they are responsible for 3-10 robberies here at the carquinez bridge toll plaza. the investigation was difficult because they used stolen cars. investigators had help from the police

channel 2 news. . >>> pedestrian in san francisco was killed today. he was walking long market street and crossing about 2:30 p.m. this afternoon when it happened. a witness saw a white dodge ram hit the man and drove away. police stopped the driver. there is word the driver is cooperating with authorities. >> three men in contra costa county have been shot within one block of each other. all three shootings happened here highway 4 and l street. two 1 gunned down this morning. one of the victims was the stepson of a man who was shot and killed on saturday. a local pastor knew the man who died. >> a father, husband, dad and he loved to fish. i see him all the time. and we were friends. >> a candlelight vigil was held last night for saturday's victim. police have not said if they believe the shootings are connected and at this point they have no suspects. >>> we have new information in a homicide probe in the city. neighbors discovered a man and woman bound and gagged last night. the man died and tonight ktvu's david stevenson is live where investigators are waiting to talk to the woman

. >> reporter: san francisco police this afternoon announced an arrest and violent crime that stunned this neighborhood. the two were found lying on brussel street. >> the male victim appeared to have blunt trauma and gunshot wounds. the female victim also appeared to have blunt force trauma. >> reporter: reed died that night, the young woman is in critical condition but is recovering. >> investigators followed up in leads that led them to a house. where we took into custody five individuals. >> reporter: police arrested 32- year-old maelene lintz and 29- year-old montrali brackes. tiler miller, heather leech and maryann manalastas. >> there was a report that there was a connection between the victims and the suspects. >> reporter: one of those suspects has bailed out. we asked to speak with the remaining four suspects being held in jail. but all of them declined interviews. the district attorney's office tells us it is reviewing the police case and has 48 hours to decide on the charges. >>> police are investigating a robbery at a macy's store. someone broke the store's doors. police
